Morris Dynamics offers classes to
students with Cerebral Palsy and other
special learning difficulties.
Taekwondo is a great way for these
students to increase their
strength and body control,
can help to teach the student
to defend himself and provides
an excellent opportunity to
engage in a competitive sport.
Neurologist, Janice Brunstrom of
St. Louis, MO who also has Cerebral
Palsy says, "With martial
arts training, I learned to defend
myself and therapeutically improved
my strength and balance".
Taekwondo helps to improve focus,
self-discipline, self-esteem and doesn't
allow muscles to atrophy.
The Masters Club program is for those students
who are highly motivated and a have a great
attitude.
Students who are invited to
join
the
program train
to be a higher rank black belt student, a
Jr. Trainee Instructor, or a Trainee Instructor.
In addition to everything contained in
the
Black Belt Club classes, Master
Club members work on Competition Weapons
Forms,
Judo
throws and ground fighting (a Judo uniform
is included in the membership), as well
as other special Master Club
only seminars.
Once enrolled in the Masters Club, Black
Belt Club, or leadership clubs, students
may choose to participate in any one of
the following programs:
- S.W.A.T. - This is our Special Winning
Attitude Team. It is a select group of students
from our Black Belt Club or Masters Club
who serve as role models and teacher's assistants.
Their responsibility is to lead by example,
exemplifying the behavior, character and
motivation of a tip top Black Belt.
- Junior Trainee Instructor Program - This
program's mission is to build future leaders
of America for a better tomorrow. The program
was devised in order to allow children,
ages 8-15 to prepare themselves for the
Trainee Instructor Program. It also aims
to keep interest up and gives a broader
outlook for the students to draw upon.
- Trainee Instructor Program - This program
is for any student ages 16 and above to
prepare them for instructor certification.
Trainee instructors are people who enjoy
teaching others or who are interested in
a career in the martial arts.
