Training involves a variety of techniques, to include punching, kicking, dodging, jumping, parrying and blocking. Taekwondo also focuses on sparring and learning formal patterns of movement called forms. Self-Defense Regardless of your age, sex or physical ability, wouldn't it be great if you knew how to defend yourself against possible physical aggression? Many assaults happen as a result of domestic violence. Self-Defense instruction is incorporated into all of our programs whether it is Taekwondo, Judo, Krav Maga or Safety N.E.T. Kids. Our goal is to teach our students how best to stay safe. Taekwondo allows a woman to emphasize many of her natural physical strengths, such as power in the legs, while learning a method of self-defense efficient against a much larger opponent. Knowing you can defend yourself, your confidence will grow. And confidence alone is usually enough to deter potential attackers. Self-confidence can be developed over a period of time as your skill level increases. Young children can learn ways they can recognize danger, the steps they can take to avoid danger, and most importantly, what to do when danger does present itself through the Safety N.E.T. Kids program. 3 Things You Can Do Instantly to Make Yourself Safer:
Krav Maga teaches how to prevent, deal and overcome all kinds of violence and attacks, prepares the trainees in the subjects of self-defense, self protection, fighting and combat skills, as well as skills to defend others. Click HERE to learn more about Krav Maga programs at Morris Dynamics.
